This is a favourite of ours to cook together – it is tasty, healthy and very easy to make. And you can take away any “cutting” activities for younger children: Pitta Bread Pizzas!
Ingredients:
- Pitta Bread
- Tomatoe puree
- Grated cheese
- Salami or ham or whatever takes your fancy – though the salami gave it a lot of extra flavour!
- Extras – such as olives, mushrooms, sweetcorn, pepper – whatever you child will eat or fancies!
Get everything ready in little bowls. Slice the salami/ ham into managable sizes. Put all your ingredients on a tray so the children can help themselves.
- Get the children to squirt on some tomato purée and spread it with a knife or spoon
- Add you toppings
- Add the grated cheese
Place under a hot grill and wait for the chesse to melt. Then serve! (Alternatively, you can place it in a preheated oven 150C for 10-15min).
Enjoy your simple homemade pizzas! And if you want a great Pizza Dough Recipe, check out Kids Chaos!

We love making these too ~ so tasty and easy. And what kid doesn’t love making their own pizza! Sometimes we make ours with English muffins too
