Well… as you know, I blog over at Red Ted Art, where you will find all things crafty. It is so nice to have an “outlet” for all those other things we are doing and “issues” we are facing! So finally, I get to look at different ways to help my children improve their numeracy! Though they are still young and there is nothing to worry about, I think if you can make learning fun, then why not?!

Here is a round up of numeracy enhancing ideas:

This is one we discovered by accident and found hugely helpful and fun – the classic “join the dots” activity. There were some in one of my son’s magazine’s. We discovered two things 1) how much he loves doing them and 2) which numbers he has problems with. Read more about it!

5 Little Ducks

Nothing like a fun little craft, that reinforces nursery rhymes and gets you doing some basic counting. Make your own “5 Little Ducks Craft” and have some numeric fun.

Love this fun idea of playing dice bingo from Lesson’s Learnt Journal. This looks like a great idea and will get those kids having a go.
