Family Movie: The Curse of the Midas Box

We have another movie review for you today (it must be that time of year?) And as we are big film boffins (did I mention the kids don’t watch telly, but only get one movie a week?!), it seems appropriate. We were sent The Curse of the Midas Box to review with the kids (6 and 4), luckily, I checked the trailer WITH them first and we realised, though this looked like a potentially great movie… maybe 6 and 4 were a little young! Ha. So I watched it with Daddy instead. And  I would say it is a little akin to Indiana Jones – a great action packed movie, filled with intrigue and adventure, but definitely for slightly older kids (9yrs+ ????).

Mariah’s journey takes him to the fantastical steam powered hotel on a small island. Will Mariah find his brother? And will Mariah prevent Lugar from finding the box?

What I thought

On the whole we enjoyed watching this movie, it will make for a prefect “Christmas movie”, getting the family together and adding a bit of mystery to your family movie watching afternoon.
