Getting Ready for Back to School
|Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post
Well.. it really is getting frantic here… The Boy is STARTING SCHOOL in less than a month. My little baby is all grown up and going in with the big boys (aka Reception… ok, so he is still quite little). But school uniforms are being bought. Pencils cases sorted. Desk tidies made. Lunchboxes pondered and and and and.
Well. To give a little lending (and financial hand), there is always eBay (and check out the info below to see eBay’s latest Facebook competition!).
I love eBay and use it as much as I use amazon. Want a good price? Go to eBay!
I get the majority of my craft stash via our local craft store or eBay. They both are brilliant! And as we prepare for school.. eBay comes to the rescue again.
My top eBay finds:
Boys Navy Trousers
Can you believe it… we are the ONLY school in our area that have NAVY trousers as part of their uniform. All the others are black or grey. This also means that ALL our local shops (And we have plenty) predominately carry the black trouser stock. And if we are lucky enough to find a navy pair, they are the wrong size. As a busy mum, I turn to the internet. And hurray! eBay has some navy trousers! Tick. Sorted.
Let’s Get Mobile
Next up is our “mobility”. We really cannot be doing with “being late”. Not now we are going to the “big school”. And the lateness factor in our equation is The Girl, i.e. The Boy’s little sister. So we need to get her some wheels. We love the idea of balancing bikes – great for little people. And The Girl would feel SO grown up having her very own bike! Imagine. I like the look of this balance bike from eBay.
Schultuete
As some of you may know, we are a half Austrian and half English family. In Austria (and Germany) school starters get a “Schultuete” – a bag of goodies to sweeten their first school day. Living in the UK, means these are hard to get hold of… rock on eBay, it has one!!! HOORAY! I like this Schultuete.
Stationery
Now we have the Schultuete we need some cool bits and pieces to put in it. The Boy LOVES drawing and writing, so I reckon he will be rather tickled by a multi coloured biro pen – even better if it comes with Angry birds.
Lunch Box
And whilst on the topic of Angry Birds, this lunchbox looks as if The Boy will LOVE it!!! Angry Birds are his favourite right now. (We even made some Angry Bird Easter Eggs over on Red Ted Art last year!!!). I bet he will love finding some of our Chocolate Brownies inside!
Are you ready for Back To School? If not.. why not check out this great competition from eBay, launching tomorrow!”:
eBay is helping parents to get ready for the back to school rush, while making those final weeks of the summer holidays fun. They are challenging families to show their creative flair to be in with a chance of winning up to £200 PayPal credit. From August 16th to August 30th, they’re sharing fun, creative and crafty activity ideas for parents to do with their kids. To bag one of their ten £60 PayPal credit prizes or one of four £200 Paypal credit grand prizes, parents will simply need to upload a picture of their kids’ crafty creation into their Facebook competition app.
What are you waiting for… Get Crafty and win!
ooooh, I am off to check ebay now!

Love the Angry Bird pens. I spent a summer and Germany and thought that the tradition of giving kids a gift at the beginning of the school year was sweet!
