Craft Book Review: Stitch, Craft, Create

I recently received a lovely copy of Stitch Craft Create – a book of crafts by a collaboration of crafters. You can have a nosey at the contents on their Stitch Craft Create website. Though personally, I do enjoy this kind of book as a “hard copy” as you can have a good old browse over a cup of tea.

I enjoy books put together my a number of crafters, as you get a nice mix of styles and techniques that way. This book comprises a 101 (wow!) different craft ideas and is layout out in handy sections – Applique, Beading, Cake Decorating, Crochet, Sewing, Papercraft, Cross Stitch etc I would say in encompasses everything a “traditional” crafter would enjoy doing and has  a really good mix of crafts to make as gifts to decorations. You will find cushions, toys , ornaments, decorations, cards, oven gloves and tea cozies, to name but a few. And I am pretty certain that there are number of crafts that I will have a go at, either by myself or with the children.

What I found VERY exciting, was to see fellow crafter Mary Poppins feature in this book twice! Check out her blog to get a feel for her ideas crafts and style. Wonderful.

A nice all round kind of book. Would make for a nice “treat me” gift or gift to a crafty friend.
