Spooky Craft Book Giveaway
|You know how I can’t resist a good craft book.. even better a craft book that I can GIVE AWAY to you lovely readers!! Yay. Here is a great looking book from the American “All You” Magazine – All You Frightfully Fun Halloween Handbook (available on both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com). As Halloween is JUST AROUND the corner, we are going to run this competition VERY quickly. So be quick and join in. So that we can FEDEX the winner their book in time for the “Big Day”.

I love carving pumpkins, I find it really therapeutic lol every year we have a family of 4 outside our house; Mummy, Daddy and two kiddy pumpkins, each with their own little features and traits 🙂 x

I’m not sure where the tradition started, but my family always string up jam doughnuts from a door frame and the game is to finish yours without licking your lips! I guess the inevitable jam on your face is a bit vampire-esque!
My favourite DIY Halloween activity is baking spooky Halloween cupcakes and cookies.
Quick and easy craft/decoration activity, use a white balloon, cut up a white plastic bag into strips and attach to the bottom, decorate face as a ghost using black marker pen.
My kids and i love decorating the front door and surrounding area to look all spooky for the trick or treaters.

I usually dont make too much of a fuss at halloween but my DS is 3 now and im really looking forward to goin all out to make it extra fun for him 🙂 home made decorations, cakes, pumpkin, bobbin apple 🙂 cant wait 🙂 x

Making spooky cakes
Handprints stung up with scary faces on stuck to the front door. Along with decorating orange paper bags and filling with goodies for trick or treaters
we made some fab felt trick or treat bags this year
I usually have my grandchildren during the week as its school hols and they love scooping out the pumpkins and then carving them.
We make gingerbread scary shaped biscuits to hand out to trick or treaters

We like to bake home made biscuits and decorate them with Halloween designs and Granny judges her favourite design.

We have a big Halloween party every year with the neighbours and i love making spooky snacks! Witches broomsticks made from twiglets are great fun, and meringue ghosts go down a treat!
We like to do a little bit of everything for Halloween. Most years we try to make the kids’ costumes. And we always like to try making some new special treats.

Hanging Bats and Ghosts – Our kids help turn egg cartons into bat decorations by cutting, painting, and adding googly eyes. Make cute, cheap Halloween ghosts by painting leaves white, then drawing a spooky face with a marker.

We have been having great fun making costumes and decorations for the house. Making woolly cobwebs and spiders is our favourite at the moment,
I normally throw a party with themed food and decorations. My favourite activity is from last year, I drew around my daughter on a huge piece of paper. I then made that in to a life sized witch, and we pinned it to the door. We then played pin the nose on the witch. We need similar ideas for this year!

We grow & carve pumpkins and make our own halloween costumes. The house always gets decorated, this year I am going to be wrapped in bandages like a Mummy. It’s the kids ide because I am the Mummy heehee

I have a 15 month old so to make sure its not to scary for him we make mummy sausages for dinner on Halloween 🙂

We do lots of things leading up to it like cakes and biscuits and then arts and crafts and of course a pumpkin it will be my youngest ones first try this year as she is one so cant wait for her to have a bit of messy play with the pumpkin with her big sis 🙂

As our children are are still very young, the best fun is dressing them up in cool costumes. They make the least scary witches, cutest pumpkins and friendliest ghosts and usually can’t stop giggling!

Decorating the house with my kids and making spooky foods – especially thinking of new ‘disgusting things’ we can make. Meringue ghosts always a winner! This year my daughter wants to make jelly and put ‘worms’ (strawberry laces) and ‘eyes’ (lychees) in it. Lovely eh!

We like to make lots of Halloween foods, like cupcakes and mini pizzas all with scary faces and things
I love creating games for parties. I’ve done climb through the spiders web (Wool) and select a spider (tennis balls wrapped in black sack with straws for legs) with a prize wrapped inside. Pin the wart on the witches nose. and lucky dip through spaghetti dies red and blue for artieries and veins. Too much fun.
