Holiday Essentials
|We LOVE arts and crafts, as you may well know (check out “other us” over on Red Ted Art). My kids are always making and crafting. But… though we love crafts, I am also a busy mum. Which means, I can’t get the paints out every five seconds or sit down and help the kids knitting. Our default in those moments is to draw and colour. Luckily for me, both my kids love to draw and colouring pages. It is something they can do four aaaages. When on holiday, we make sure we always have a set of pens and a small notebook each with us, which is great for those in between times when travelling.
Yep… I knew you thought, this was going to be a post about sunscreen and Summer hats. Yes, they are important, as are snacks and that favourite cuddly toy.. but what helps us on our holiday trips, is indeed this little bit of creative entertainment. I ADORE the drawings they create whilst they are away.
So we were really pleased to receive this set of pens from the Faber-Castell Playing and Learning range:
My favouritea re in fact the pens – not so easy to see from the packet – but you can connect all the lids (we actually have another set of 50 of these!!). So on our next trip (this coming half term in fact), we will be taking these connecting pens and crayons with us. The connecting bit means, that we can keep them together relatively easily AND the kids have something additional to play with. The pen will com in super handy too – as we continue work on my sons pencil grip!
Fab.
Anyway.. that is MY top holiday tip: some felt tip pens and a notebook. Never go without!
